Helicobacter Pylori Antigen in Stool

This test is looking for evidence of an infection by a bacterium, known as Helicobacter pylori. This bacterium is now known to be a major cause of Peptic Ulcer Disease. Erradication treatment with medication leads to disappearance of the antigen in stool.

Recommended for: Suspected stomach cancer, peptic ulcer disease, developing gastritis and gastric adenocarcinoma.
